Welcome to Sage and Thyme Counselling and Supervision. My name is Bel, I am social worker living and caring for land and community on the Far South Coast of NSW. I provide counselling and supports to children, adolescence and adults.

About My Practice
Engaging in the therapeutic process can be an overwhelming and exhausting experience. As a compassionate, values-based clinician I am passionate about supporting clients to learn and grow in a judgement-free, safe environment. The aim of my practice is to assist clients to acknowledge the wisdom that has supported them so far, support them to let go of the things that are no longer serving their mental wellbeing and assist them to develop new strategies to help them navigate times of struggle.

Therapeutically, my work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, but draws on a range of other interventions such as CBT, DBT, Somatic Therapy, Self-Compassion, Buddhist Psychology and Internal Family Systems to best support clients to achieve their mental health goals.

I am also a certified Child Centred Play Therapist and have a strong passion for working with children and adolescence using developmentally appropriate interventions, with a special interest working with children and adolescences through trauma recovery.
Whilst I work with a wide range of presentations across the lifespan, I am especially passionate about working with neurodivergent people and people part of the LQBTIQA+ and Indigenous community. When accessing services through Sage and Thyme, clients can be assured they will receive affirming and sensitive care.
